Dirty Martini Hanover- Happy Hour cocktails

It's always a predicament... Friday evening and in desperate need of a good Happy Hour!! For me it was also looking for somewhere where I could have a good catch up with a friend. I think I may have failed on that front (way too loud) but not on the drinks. With half price martinis Dirty Martini certainly delivered. Decided to go for the Lychee Martini. The first one was a delight (looking wise).  The red one is the Cherry Blossom Martini.

The second unfortunately not so pretty. I was quite surprised to see they ran out of martini glasses by 8.30! However, still as delicious!

The music was good but definitely a venue for drinks, general mingling and dancing! I had lost my voice by the time we left!!

Spent £8.50 (2 martinis)

Copa de Cava. Little haven under Blackfriars!

Got the chance to finally check out the latest addition to the Camino family last night 'Copa de Cava' and what a great little place!

A stone's throw from Blackfriars it sits under the Camino venue. I'd say if you want a little hideaway this is the place, and great for a mid-week date (me and my friend could actually hear each other across the table which was refreshing!)

For me the menu of Cavas was a little overwhelming but that's only because I hadn't been to a specific 'Cava' bar before. I would suggest offering a 'First Time Tasting' session for people such as myself! As it goes, I know I love something sweet so we ended up going for the bottle of the Demi Sec 'Barcelona'. It was a great choice (if I do say so myself!!)

For me however it was the food that made the evening! There is only a small menu but everything we ordered was divine. My absolute favourite being the Ceviche and the Pisto Manchego.

Can't wait to go back
